This website contains only a brief description of the coverages available under each plan, and the policy will contain reductions, limitations, exclusions, and termination provisions. These plans provide insurance coverage during the covered trip. ASSIST-CARD

In all cases, the medical provider, facility, legal counsel, or other professional service providers suggested by ASSIST-CARD are not employees or agents of ASSIST-CARD and the Covered Person is responsible for the choice of a provider. ASSIST-CARD assumes no liability for the services provided to a Covered Person under this arrangement nor is it liable for any negligence or other wrongful acts or omissions of any of the legal or health care professionals providing services to a Covered Person.

The Services provided herein shall only be provided if the Covered Person, a representative of the Covered Person or the Subscriber notifies ASSIST-CARD of the need for Services. In all cases, the service and payments must be arranged, authorized, verified and approved in advance by ASSIST-CARD.

All airfare and transportation shall be economy class, unless it is recommended otherwise by an ASSIST-CARD Medical Director for medical reasons, and arranged for by ASSIST-CARD. ASSIST-CARD shall not reimburse the Covered Person or Subscriber for transportation and airfare arranged for and/or paid for by said Covered Person or Subscriber.

ASSIST-CARD is not responsible and cannot be held liable for any malpractice performed by a local Physician or attorney who is not an employee of ASSIST-CARD; or of any loss or damage. Subscriber shall include this language on its marketing materials pertaining to ASSIST-CARD services.

ASSIST-CARD is under contract with Starr Indemnity & Liability Company (“Starr Indemnity”), an insurer that provides your insurance coverage, to provide certain travel assistance services in conjunction with insurance benefits. Any and all terms and conditions whether or not defined herein shall have the meaning set forth in the Business Travel Insurance Policy issued by Starr Indemnity.

Starr Insurance Companies is the worldwide marketing name for the operating insurance and travel assistance companies and subsidiaries of Starr International Company, Inc. and for the investment business of C.V. Star & Co., Inc. and its subsidiaries.

Producer Compensation Disclosure

Starr Insurance Companies sells its insurance products and services through insurance agents and brokers (“Producers”). The Producers act as intermediaries between insureds and/or prospective insureds, who purchase insurance from carriers, and the insurance carriers that underwrite applicable insurance policies. Some Producers are members of Starr Insurance Companies and others are not. This statement discloses information regarding Producers which are members of Starr Insurance Companies, including the role they play in in the sale of insurance and the compensation the Producers receive.

Producers earn compensation in order to encourage them to sell products, place profitable business, comply with regulatory requirements, and/or provide services to policyholders.

In some, but not all instances, Producers receive compensation based in whole or in part on the insurance contract the Producer sells.

The compensation paid to the Producer may vary depending on a number of factors, including the insurance contract and the insurer that the purchaser selects, the volume of business the Producer provides to the insurer or the profitability of the insurance contracts that the Producer provides to the insurer.

Purchasers of insurance may obtain information about the compensation expected to be received by the Producer based in whole or in part on the sale, and the compensation expected to be received based in whole or in part on any alternative quotes presented by the Producer, by requesting such information from the Producer.
